Why You Shouldn’t Leave Your Car at the Airport

September 15, 2017 By //  by InfinityTransportation

Most Americans think nothing of driving their cars to the airport and leaving them in the parking lot while they’re away. However, it’s much smarter to leave your car at home.

Your Car Isn’t Safe

Most airports have security cameras but don’t believe they make your car secure. Studies show that cars have a greater risk of theft, per hour parked, when they’re in parking facilities instead of at home. Airport parking lots are often poorly lit, and there are typically blind spots where the cameras can’t reach. On-the-ground surveillance is rare, and the parking lots are poorly secured, so it’s relatively easy for someone to break into your vehicle and steal your possessions or the car itself.

It Can Be Inconvenient

Many people think driving themselves to the airport is the convenient option, but this myth is usually dispelled when they arrive. It’s often difficult to know which parking lot is the closest to your terminal. Even if you do know where to go, you might find the lot full of other vehicles. As you drive around looking for an open parking space, you’ll feel your blood boiling. When a space finally appears, it might be miles away from your terminal. Wrestling with your luggage as you make your way to the gates is a real inconvenience.

Airport Parking Is Expensive

With prices exceeding $30 a day at some of America’s priciest airport parking lots, parking at the airport could leave you with a massive bill. You can save yourself the money, leaving more in your pocket for those vacation souvenirs, if you simply leave your car at home.

If you’re flying out of Florida, the premium chauffeured limousine services from Infinity Transportation are a high-end alternative to leaving your car at the airport. Visit the Infinity Transportation website to learn more about our luxury airport transport services.

Keeping Your Car Safe During Hurricane Irma

September 6, 2017 By //  by InfinityTransportation

As a South Florida native, you most likely know the drill during hurricane season. Putting up shutters, stocking up on water and taking in your patio furniture are almost second nature at this point. Although these are all important precautions that are necessary to protect your family and home, it is also important to know that hurricane preparedness extends to your vehicles as well.

Follow These 6 Tips to Protect Your Vehicle

  1. Fill Your Tank. Make sure to fuel up your car just in case you need to evacuate or go get help after the dangerous weather subsides.
  2. Park in a Safe Spot. Consumer Reports recommends parking on high grounds to avoid damage to your vehicle in the case of flooding. Additionally, many homes are built according to hurricane regulations and have garage doors engineered to withstand severe storms. If your garage is highly secure and hurricane proof, park your car inside your garage to avoid flying objects or falling trees.
  3. Check Your Tire Pressure. If debris is in the streets, your tire could puncture much more easily if it has low pressure and you don’t want to deal with a flat tire if you are trying to evacuate.
  4. Double check if all of your windows and sunroof are closed tight. If any windows were accidentally left open even a tiny crack, you could risk severe water damage to your car.
  5. Insurance Paperwork. Put an extra copy of your insurance in a Ziplock baggy for safe keeping.
  6. Take pictures. In case you need to prove that your car was damaged by the storm, take a few pictures of the current state of your car to keep on file.

Remember to drive only if it’s necessary. In the event that you do need to use your vehicle, you want to avoid flooded roads and washed-out bridges. Beware of fallen objects, downed power lines and weakened walls, bridges, roads and sidewalks.

Infinity Transportation takes vehicle safety very seriously in the South Florida area. Try to follow these guidelines for some quick preparation to ensure your car stays safe during the storm.

Our Driver Screening Process

August 15, 2017 By //  by InfinityTransportation

You have lots of options for your transportation needs with taxi companies, limo rides, and popular ride share offerings vying for your attention and money. Though you have plenty of choices, not all drivers are screened equally. Infinity Transportation prides itself on hiring only the best for our fleet, so you can always count on a safe ride with a properly screened driver.

Complete Background Checks and Screenings

You should never have to get into a car with a driver that you can’t trust. Infinity Transportation carefully screens all of its drivers to make sure we’re providing you with safe, reliable transportation. Our hiring process includes a thorough background check. Our drivers must have clean driving records and clean criminal records. We also perform vision and hearing tests on our drivers to make sure they’re equipped to cruise the roads safely and catch all your directions.

You may have caught some of the controversies over the screening process for ride-share companies like Uber and Lyft. Their electronic checks haven’t always proven effective. Don’t travel with someone you can’t trust when you can call Infinity instead.

Essential Training

Ride-share companies don’t require training for their drivers. Their hires don’t have to demonstrate competence. A driver’s license is sufficient to prove that you can operate a vehicle for these companies. The drivers at Infinity Transportation must maintain a valid chauffeur’s license in at least two Florida counties. We also require that our drivers speak, comprehend, and read English. If they don’t have a strong geographic knowledge of Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties, they’re out. You shouldn’t have to give directions to your driver. That’s our job. We’ll let you sit back and enjoy the ride.

If you’re looking for safe and reliable transportation in Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding areas, contact Infinity Transportation to book your ride.

Why Hire a Car Service Before and After a Cruise

July 16, 2017 By //  by InfinityTransportation

Use a car service before and after your cruise to travel in comfort and style. A ride in a luxurious limo will make the start of your vacation relaxing and memorable, while being more convenient than waiting for a cab or asking a friend to give you a ride. Discover a few more reasons why you should hire a car service before and after a cruise.

Experience Some Cost Savings

People may think that a car service is an extravagant luxury, but the limo service itself could be less expensive than hiring two cabs or other forms of transportation if you’re traveling with a large group. Many limousines can carry 12 passengers with their luggage. Often, a limo is less expensive than driving your own vehicle and paying for parking at an airport or port.

Arrive Safely and on Schedule

A car service with an experienced chauffeur will pick you up and make sure you arrive at your destination on time. If you’re from a small town or suburb, you won’t have to worry about getting stuck in traffic or navigating busy highways in an unfamiliar city. Also, you can rest instead of driving home after a tiring trip, and you won’t need to make sure that you have a designated driver.

Enjoy Comfort and Excellent Service

Cars are available with amenities such as a stocked bar, etched glassware, chilled bottled water, and Bluetooth access. Your chauffeur will help you carry your luggage and meet you inside an airport or train station if needed. You can always ask your driver to make a stop at a restaurant or store before you reach your destination.

As South Florida’s premier transportation specialist, Infinity Transportation can make sure your vacation experience lasts as long as possible and help you stay relaxed when you’re getting ready for your trip. Call us at 866-247-LIMO (5466) for comfortable, economical transportation from our extensive fleet of vehicles. Our 24-hour service is available every day of the year in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties.

4 Reasons to Hire a Limo for Your Birthday Party

June 18, 2017 By //  by InfinityTransportation

Whether you’re celebrating a milestone birthday or just want to do something special this year to congratulate yourself for making it through another year of your life, think about hiring a limo for your event. You’ll enjoy some outstanding benefits.

Convenience

If you’re going to a club or other popular venue for your party, the last thing you want to do is spend a long time looking for a place to park. A limo can drop you and your friends off at the door. Plus, since some types of limousines can accommodate up to 20 people, you and your fellow celebrators will enjoy being together as you travel to your destination.

Safety

Do you plan on drinking at your party? Even if you don’t get drunk, as little as one or two drinks can affect your ability to drive safely. Instead of taking a chance, let someone else do the driving.

Luxury

Your birthday party is all about you, so why not treat yourself to something special? A limousine with champagne buckets, LCD TVs, and other luxurious perks will make you feel like royalty. If you opt for the Cadillac Escalade version of a limo, there will even be mood lighting to lend an extra cool vibe to your celebration.

Affordability

At first glance, hiring a limo may not seem like an economic option, but it can save you some money in your party budget. If everyone chips in to hire the limo, it will probably be cheaper than if all the attendees hired a taxi to get to the party destination on their own. Plus, since you’re the birthday person, you can tell your friends that their contribution to the limo is part of their present to you.

There are a lot of details to consider when you’re planning a birthday party, and you shouldn’t neglect transportation. Rely on Infinity Transportation to provide you with the perfect vehicle for your special event.
